Thanks to our clients, employees, subcontractors, business tenants, and family, 2022 has been a banner year at Connolly Brothers. This year, we received an award from the Design-Build Institute of America for Harmonic Drive's new manufacturing facilities and an Excellence in Construction Award from Associated Builders and Contractors for Vicor Corporation's new 90,000-square-foot manufacturing expansion; the Eagle we received is ABC's highest honor.
As much as we value these accolades, Connolly Brothers' chief standard of success remains the same as it has through five generations since 1880: getting called back for our clients' next project. In the case of Vicor, we are most gratified to report that this has already occurred. Other completed projects this year include new buildings for Abbott Laboratories, Ayr Wellness, BMW of Norwood, Eastern Yacht Club, Lantheus, and Richardson Green. We continue to be active in educational facilities, with renovations for Boston College, including a new laboratory, Brooks School, and New England Academy, where we are at work on a new South Shore campus.
None of this would have been possible were it not for our talented and dedicated team. This year, we were happy to add several new members to that team, including Project Designer Matt Drinon, Superintendent John Meyer, Superintendent George Stroman, Project Manager Robert Spence, and Business Development Manager Stacey Vega. While personnel, tools, and techniques have changed since our early days, the core principles of our family business – responsibility, integrity, and quality – have not wavered since 1880. We aim to keep it that way.
The turn of the year is a fitting time not only to look back and take stock but to look ahead at what will be in 2023. Of course, the year ahead will be filled with new projects. There is no shortage of work, and we look forward to adding skilled laborers, project managers, project designers, and project superintendents who appreciate the value of a team that is, above all else, dedicated to doing the job right. We also look forward to advancing the economic development of our region with facilities across an array of growing fields.
We approach each project that we plan, design, build, and/or develop to withstand the test of time. We believe adhering to this degree of pride in our work will help make 2023 another stellar year, and if your new year's resolution includes building or upgrading your facilities, we hope to hear from you.
