Bio-Techne is a leading supplier of high-quality and innovative tools for life science research, therapeutic manufacturing, and clinical diagnostics. With several life science and clinical diagnostic brands to its name and a need for more space, Bio-Techne chose Connolly Brothers to manage the construction of a 26,000 square-foot addition that provides increased manufacturing, shipping, and warehouse facilities at Bio-Techne's Devens, Mass. location.

Designed by Maugel Architects, the new space required Connolly to relocate gas and fiber optic lines to secure the building's footprint. In addition, as the site is a former U.S. military base, before construction could begin, the project team had to receive unexploded ordinance (UXO) training, but fortunately, no UXOs were uncovered during construction.
