Children's Friend and Family Services is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and promoting strong families through several support services. When the organization needed a new home, Connolly Brothers answered the call, renovating an existing abandoned grade school building and transforming it into a mental health facility for underserved communities, all while meeting stringent budget limitations and maximizing value for this nonprofit client.

Collaborating with Gray Architects on the project, Connolly delivered preconstruction and construction management services to get this 25,000 square-foot facility in Salem, Mass. up and running. As a result, the organization was better prepared to continue its work of partnering with families in the face of difficulties or trauma.
