Project Scope:
Harmonic Drive LLC, a manufacturer of gearheads, gear component sets, and servo actuators, chose Connolly Brothers to build its new manufacturing and office facility. Scope of the project included ground up construction of a 47,000 square foot three-story office building and light manufacturing/assembly space with adjacent 50,000 square foot high-bay maintenance facility. Connolly worked through 50 feet of elevation change while ensuring the space addresses Harmonic Drive's industry-specific concerns.

Connolly's design team developed a plan attuned to flexibility and long-term growth. This included placing a 12-inch-thick concrete slab throughout the machine shop, enabling easy movement of heavy, high-tech machinery. Upgraded electrical systems were designed and installed to support the equipment. Emphasis was placed on creating a structural design that can accommodate future growth.
