MITRE operates federally funded research and development centers and public-private partnerships, working across government to tackle challenges to the safety, stability, and wellbeing of our nation. Scope of the project included a 40,000 square-foot renovation of the S Building located at Mitre's Bedford campus. Mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems were replaced/upgraded throughout the entire building. Other work included new finishes, paint, flooring and new millwork. This project required careful planning, scheduling, and coordination in order to keep existing critical systems operational with minimal downtime. Connolly provided construction management work on the project and collaborated with SGA Architects to ensure that the building met all of MITRE's specifications.
