Vicor Corporation, a leading global power technology company focused on advancing power delivery with modular power components, enlisted Connolly Brothers to provide preconstruction and construction management services on its manufacturing facilities expansion, completed in 2022.

The project, featuring design work by Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects, includes a new two-story manufacturing space and a new three-story entryway and lobby, as well as a new boardroom, conference room, rooftop patio, and renovated cafeteria areas. Connolly Brothers cut into the existing facility and seamlessly integrated the new structures, operating with careful attention to details such as noise and dust given that work took place directly next to an active office environment. Connolly also worked around mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure to install a three-stop elevator shaft, all while maintaining strict COVID-19 protocols to protect the wellbeing of workers and employees.

As the project reached completion, Vicor's functional and aesthetic goals were accomplished with sleek new facilities for the power tech company to continue growing in its existing location.
